I am apart of the Media, Follow-up, and Drama Ministry. I also work in the bookstore and assist with the King's Cafe'. I'm also a GANG GIrl and UWIM.
I was rape by my uncle from age 3-7. When I turned 15 I started drinking alcohol to try to fit in with my friends. Then I began to abuse prescription drugs that were given to me for back pain. I had no self-esteem. I tried to commit suicide many times because I thought my life wasn’t worth living. In the summer of 2005, I met Bro. Adrian and Bro. Derek from Victory Outreach Kansas City, Missouri. They worked across the street from me and told me about the great things God was doing in their lives. I didn’t think that God could forgive me for all the bad things I had did. But one weekend, Bro. Adrian asked me, “What did I have to lose by going to church?” He had a point. So, on October 24, 2005 I attended my 1st service at Victory Outreach. And I have never looked back since. God has birth a new vision and a new reason for life. He sent His ONLY son to die so that I can be free. That blew me away. As I began to get more involved into ministry, I was able to witness to my little brother and now he’s been at Victory Outreach for 3 years. I am so proud of him. God has done so much for me in the 4 years I’ve been at Victory Outreach, but most importantly He gave me peace, happiness, and a vision and a passion for ministry. I know I am called to be in ministry and I pray that each and everyday I am here on this Earth, I give him praise because I know if it had not been for Him, I wouldn’t be here. Then on October 23, 2009, God blessed me with a great husband- Adrian Colston. Who have known that the Man of God sent to speak to me about Him was my husband> Once agagin God has blessed me. Now we are expecting our 1st child, whom we are naming Thaddaeus. Glory be to God!!!
